These are few of the things that we will need to do before we join..
NSR registration:We will need to do this registration before we join. We can do it later but its better if we do it beforehand. For this first create your profile on https://nationalskillsregistry.com . Then after getting the registration number we have to visit their Points Of Service(POS) the list of which with contact details is povided on their website and get our finger prints and retinas etc. scanned. They will provide a unique ITPIN to us which is needed in INFOSYS.
EJoining details: We have to fill the details at the Infosys Portal. We just have to visit https://careers.infosys.com/EJoining/aspx/ejoiningdefaultx.aspx and complete our profile.
Passport: If anyone has not applied for a passport should apply before joining. If not passport the application receipt will be needed at the time of joining.
Certificates: Get all our marksheets and certificates in original and copies with us.
Joining date: We should reach Mysore a day before joining. Like in my case its 12th July so i should reach there on 11th July.
There are stores for everything there from Clothes to Cosmetics to stationaries to sim cards everything there. So no need to take any extra luggage.
They will start alloting rooms a day before. Now if parents are accompanying you make sure you make the arrangements for their staying yourself because they wont be allowing them in your rooms. Though they may visit the campus.
After you reach Bangalore there are trains to mysore but preferred way is to get to Mysore by Volvo Bus. All you need to do is go to KSRTC stand and go to Platform 18. There are buses to Mysore every five minutes.
Try to be there in a group with ur friends so that you get rooms nearby. Boys are alloted single rooms while girls may be alloted shared rooms.
Also no Laptops are allowed even in hostel rooms. Not even pen drives, CDs,DVDs etc. Camera phones are ALLOWED and so are digicams.
Get all the documents in order with their photocopies.
You will be asked to open accounts in ICICI Bank on the very first day for which related documents will be needed. Carry Passport size photographs. Also it will be easy to apply for sim cards if we have documents in order.
Carry the Offer letter u received by post along with a copy of it.
